Never really been charged while hunting hogs, but sometimes when you jump one they will kinda make a bluff run at you and then veer off. Sometimes you can walk right on top of them before they bust out of a brush pile. That will make you wet your pants! [:-] I read a story in Boar Hunter magazine about a guy in California that tried to jump a charging hog. When the hog ran underneath him he threw his head sideways, and cut the femoral artery in the mans leg. The guy bled to death before they could get him to the hospital. I'm sure this is more rare than getting struck by lightning, but it just goes to show,
wild animals are unpredictable. Always be prepared to run, shoot, or climb a tree....while praying.
