I say that shot placement is everything cause just like beaver jack said, there are too many people out there toating cannons that can't hit the broad side of a barn much less an elk. No matter what you use you have to be able to hit what you are aiming at. If more people used a gun that they could manage w/o being scared of it we would have more dead animals instead of wounded ones. I took a mulie doe this year that had been shot through her back leg and had her bone shatterd. She recoverd just fine but I hate to think of the pain she had to live with. I also absolutly agree that more people need to practice hunting more. All of my elk have been less than 100 yards except one at 130. Any way you're right, that's enough on this one.
