If it's ported, that would be my only complaint... my buddy has a Marlin in 44 mag, that is ported, and you can't shoot it without some serious ear protection... it is just too loud.
If I were to get a "bigger" lever gun than my 375, it would probably be the 444... I don't think I need a 45-70, although I really like that caliber. I don't know, I guess it would be a toss-up.
