Default Washington State Elk Hunting

Hi Guys,

Well I'm going to Idaho this year to increase my chances of actually harvesting an elk.Been skunked hunting the Manashtash GMU 4yrs running. I'm a relatively new hunter and my elk hunting buddies only go there, despite all the other hunters around. I just can't believe the year over year lack of elk spotted/harvested in this area and my buddies still are going there again. I even had a cow elk tag two years ago and of course didn't see any elk during the whole season ... what luck.

Since I hate being skunked in my home state, where do you guys go to hunt Wa elk? I'm not a trophy hunter (yet), I like being outdoors and actually getting to harvest an elk once in a while too!

thanks much guys!
phil

PS- I've just purchased a ML so that's an option too - I'm using it over in Republic during deer season ... the amount of modern firearms hunters have steadily grown over in the far eastside hence the switch to ML.
