Will you be hunting the panhandle area? I would definately get some loose fitting clothing. I have hiked all overnorthern Idaho. The morning can be very cold and warm up by afternoon. Definately want to be able to remove layers of clothing as the weather changes.There may be snow in October, but usually notmore than1 foot ifin the higher elevations. I'm not a weather expert, but this has been my experience.
