Default I've killed my target!

I've been shooting field points into my Morrell Yellow Jacket target almost daily since I had Bypass surgery last Sept. I started out at 35# as an recovery therapy to strengthen the upper chest and back, then I discovered something, I loved archery!! I've long since graduated to a fine PSE hunting bow at 62# with fiber sights and a WB rest and am proud to say I consistantly put arrows into a 9 inch paper plate (at 40 yds) that I stick to the above Morrell with a roofing nail so that I can relocate it to different section (front and backside) after a couple days of shooting.
Now to my questain, the Morrell has been recovered twice now with replacement target faces, but the original insides are almost destroyed, often times arrows will bury to the nocks because the insides are no longer packed tightly. Is there a way of wrapping this target with something that will rejuvinate it, then putting yet another replacement target face onto it? or has it seen enough arrows to be retired for good?
Thank you for helping a recovering 'couch potato' that changed from TV sports to the Real thing............................................. ................
