Default RE: Savage .375 H&H ?

I agree that Savage would have to prove themself in the area of DG hunting. Time will tell the tale. I do believe that if they put their mind to it, they can build a first class DG rifle. There is sure room for some reasonably priced DG rifles that do not need to be rebuilt to do the job they were intended to do. I will be watching them progress with interest and an open mind. I am guilty of using the Ruger No.l in 416 Rem mag for such hunting. Guess that leaves me out of the crowd. However, I can't use a Bolt gun with any degree of speed with my bad shoulder. I can load and fire a No.l Ruger three times while doing it once with a Bolt. I have to bring a bolt gun down from my left shoulder and work it with my right hand then back to the left shoulder. My left arm is usless above waist level and I am not left handed so LH bolts don't help me much for speed. I still have to bring them down below my waist to work the bolt. THE JOYS of older age.[:@]
