Found a review on a Savage accutrigger .458 Safari gun. Here is a quote followed by a link to the whole story.
Having hunted this rifle under fairly harsh conditions ( did I mention that the giraffe hunt was unseasonably cold and it rained on and off the whole day?), I can definitely and honestly give it my seal of approval as a professional hunter. This one is definitely a keeper! The rifle fed flawlessly when operated smartly (meaning I don’t baby a bolt-I tend to slap ‘em back and slam ‘em home) which is important in a dangerous game rifle. Over the next few months, I intend to do some load development for this rifle to see what works best in it, as well as try several factory loads in various bullet weights and types. I really can’t wait to get back to Africa and give it a run on buff next year, and maybe an elephant if I have a client so inclined as to hunt one (any takers?)!
In closing, if you are looking for a safari grade rifle with the right power and “feel,” you won’t go wrong with the Savage 116 Safari Express, and it won’t break the bank either. http://www.savageshooters.net/Pages/Reviews/116SE_Review.html
