All I know is that its a very harsh environment and their population has been greatly reduced by hunting and livestock related deseases. I assume therer is a drawing for their tags everyyear. But its mostly for the rich and famous. I am sure you can find more info on the net.

They're population has been affected due to the state not regulating the cat population...similar to the problem with the wolves in Yellowstone..it's total BS!!![:@]
