well i did it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

its mine now. its the woodsman 50 cal 28'' 1 in 48 barrel, fully ajustable rear site. fit in finish seems good. the ramrod spring was way too tight so i took some tension outta it. i also knocked down a couple a ruff spots in the stock/barrel inlet, and tightened the loose screws. gonna see if #11 caps fit the nipple later when i start gearin up ta shoot. anything else i should check ?????????????????????????????????????????????????? ?????

also how should i care fer this brass ????????????????? ther's some green specs inside the patchbox.

all in all looks like a fine rifle.

First make sure the barrel is very clean. I strongly suggest some solvent in there because a lot of the new rifles come with a packing grease in them that can be hard to get out. A solvent will usually cut that grease and bring it out. Although a good hot water bath will too.

Since you made sure all the screws are tight. The next steps after it is cleaned is to shoot it. You might want to down the road get a stainless steel hot shot nipple for the rifle. Also mine likes Goex 2f and also shoots well with Pyrodex RS.

I think you are going to really like that rifle. They are sweet shooters. This picture does not do my rifle justice. It was very overcast that day I was shooting and the squirrels made the mistake of coming too close to the house...
