Default RE: How did everyone do?

You know, I was so mad when I read this post that I probably shouldn't even respond but somebody has to tell this guy. I don't know how old you are but I think you should take a hunting saftey course before you venture into the woods again. If you've aleady attended one, go again for a refresher.
After getting shot in the back last year with a 12 gauge slug, I can no longer just pretend ignorant people don't exist. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt first by thinking maybe you just used a poor choice of words in your question/statement.
First of all, if you pull that trigger and you consider yourself "Lucky" if you "hit one" after missing one or two, please tell me which state you hunt in so I never have the misfortune of being in the same area you are in. When you pull that trigger, it shouldn't matter which way you are positioned, standing, lying down, sitting, etc. In order to cleanly and humanely harvest game, you have to have confidence in your abilities and equipment. Confidence comes from practice and more practice. If you are not confident you can cleanly shoot an animal, don't pull that trigger! It's as simple as that. If you are able to consistantly hit the target by using a rest whether it's a tree or a elbow on your knee, then by all means, use it. If you know you have to take several shots at moving game, shooting off hand, that ought to tell you that you shouldn't use that method if you have to hope you hit something. Too many accidental shootings occur that way. I hate to sound like a prick, but buddy, I'm telling you the truth. You're asking for nothing but trouble if you hunt and have to ask questions like the ones you just did. I was hoping others would have the nerve to speak up as I hate to keep harping on safety, but somebody's got to do it. Looking at a lot of posts on this and other boards should be scaring the crap out of a lot of honest, safety conscious hunters. It sure doesn't seem to be doing that though. That's the really scary part.
