Jimmy the real issue with a bloodhound is their sheer power. Tracking through the woods behind such a powerful animal being pulled through the briers is not what I would consider fun. You will consentrating onthe dog pulling and possibly miss sign as you are going to fast to see it. Most people will never need the quality of nose that a bloodhound has because they only track for themselves and maybe a few friends and they will get to a track within 6 hrs or so. But if you will not be tracking until say 20 + hrs then their nose will be just what you want.
As Cotton posted anybody interested intracking with a dog needs to order the book. I am reading it a second time as there are a few changes and additions from the first addition.
