I have a buddy who has 4 or 5 really nice mounts one of which probably scores in the lower 170's (never officially scored and it is a bow kill) and the others are all deer to be proud of. My question is this, what do you think he should do with them? They are currently in storage rotting and collecting dust. He just bought a house and I ask him if he is going to bring them out and hang them and he said no. He hasn't hunted in about 5 or 6 years , said he just lost the drive, the passion for hunting. No other reason, he just isn't into it like he used to be. Would it be inappropriate for someone to get these mounts and maybe have some sort of brass plate engraved with his name, place, and date of harvest and display them? I am just curious as to what you guys think? I think that might bea good idea,IMO it's a shame for these to rot away instorage , especially thebig buck.
