Default RE: looking at new tribute need info

Looks like the AT/Bowtechbashing virus is spreading.
Here's my experience. I wanted a new bow this spring so I tried all the top models I could get my hands on. I ended up testing Mathews, Hoyt and Bowtechs top models and felt they were all awsome. In my search i shopped at 5 different proshops in a 200 mile circle from my home ( I can do this easily as I am a traveling sales rep ). In speaking with the owners of these shops ( who all sold the top 3 ) not one could confirm the Bowtech limb problem. Every one claimed about a 2% failure rate for all 3 brands and collectively they sell literally thousands of bows every year, these are large dealerships. Also they quantified the limb failures by saying that 1/2 of them are owner related such as dropping them out of trees and dry fires. So, when you talk to people who make a living selling bows and who deal with the factories regularly and they look at you funny when you ask about Bowtech limb failures there comes a time when you just realize that the crap you read on the internet has to be taken in a little suspicion. If you like the features and feel of the Bowtech then buy it, its fine. If you prefer another make then get that one. They are all well made, sturdy and capable of way more accuracy than 90% of the people who own them. I personally prefer Bowtech for its features like adjustable draw curve, adjustable draw length and higher speeds. The old adage that slow bows are more accurate comes from the days of very large broadheads and glue on tips. Speed will never hurt you with a good bow. I'll climb down off my soap box now.
