Sounds like you can just get a climbing stick, ladder style one that uses straps to attach to the tree and then use a nice hangon. It would weigh a lot less too. I have 15' ladder stands that I place out and they weigh a lot. FWIW I have never had a deer bust me in these. I use zip strips and attach some branches to the ladder rails to help camo them. I also write on all my ladder sections and the stand itself " SMILE FOR MY TRAIL CAMERA" and my name on each section in BIGLETTERS. I then snake a 15' cable 3/8'' thick through each section and padlock at the top. I have had friends have sections stolen. We think guys steal the sections so that they can make their ladder taller.Knock on wood I have never had one stolen, but I also hunt private ground.
