Yep, the same paint. As far as prepping the stock I just removed everything from it including the butt plate and sling lugs washed it with soap and water rinsed it real well rubbed it down with alchohol and let it dry for about an hour before painting. This stock I base coated with the olive drab and then added the other colors using the grass/wheat bunch.

The beauty is if you do not like the results just repaint. You also don't have to worry about scratches for the same reason it is easy to touch up.
