Guys, I hear all this wild recoil claims about the 45-70. Maybe my 45-70 is just one that doesn't. I mean I have shot 2200fps 300gr loads, and 1900fps 405gr loads in mine, it doesn't hold a candle to a 3" magnum slug in a 870 or a 200gr 300RUM load.

I did put a grind to fit limb saver on it.
