It's not much louder than the Patriot. By all means quiet enough for a hunting bow. Cool thing is you can load em up with ehvay arrows and still get some serious speed out of em, and that makes them very quiet. I've found with a set of limbsavers and the right stabilizer it's as quiet as your average onecam bow.

Largely a matter of opinion. After a several year stint with onecams, I've come to the conclusion that YES, the duals overall are better than the singles from a technical standpoint. They are more tune-able to your particular form, are less sensitive to torque, not as finicky about arrow selection, less senistive to creep, and overall provide for a more forgiving set-up when you are "off".

Singlecams, IMO require a more "agressive" shot which makes you have to keep up on your form a bit more than the duals.

One cam bows need to be timed...don't let anyone or any advertising fool you regarding that. They don't have anything to synch up with, but they DO have to be timed. They also require an IMMACULATELY engineered idler..if a bushing is slightly worn or the idler is slighty out of round, it will affect your nock point height on each shot (since the idler rotates slighty at each shot) causing accuracy/consistency problems.

In the single's defense, they are generally quieter, have less recoil and vibration,and are very accurate these days if you get a quality design. They improve every year.

The real problem has been quality string materials and construction. If the material does not creep..no problems..regardless of whether the bow has one two, three, or NO cams (longbows and recurves are affected by creep as well).

Yes I believe the market is going away from the "traditional" single cam design. Some companies such as BT are focusing on duals, and some have gone/are going to hybrid systems like the 8 year old CPS from Darton, and the new Hoyt cam and a half. I think you will see more deviation from the tradtional single cams by all but a handful of companies in the next couple of years. A very welcome turn of events, IMO.

Interstingly enough, I'm hunting with singlecam bow though it's due to more to personal need for a certain set of "specs" than cam type.
