I have shot a few with a 22mag...and it works, but is not ideal. I like the 22 hornet. I shoot 'em right where the legs join the body. That puts em down for good. If they can't run, they can't fly.

That said...I don't like shooting them with a rifle. Too much meat damage, and if you are off just a bit, the bird will get gone in a hurray.
