I use a 222 Remington. 55 grain SP bullet. I aim at the wing butt, that will back the spine & anchor the bird at the spot. Check your wildlife regs, here in Colorado the 22 Mag is the minimum, if you use a hollow-point and pick your shots out to about 75 yards I think you will be ok. I put that 22 Mag comment in because of your handle.
