So far I've only taken one deer with my bow and I spined it. I do not ever want to spine another deer, EVER! So I'd pass on that shot.

On the frontal shot, I'd take it. I believe an arrow placed between the shoulders would easily tearup some vitals.

I don't forsee any reason for myself to ever aim for the whitepatch on the throat.
