so it was like 6:30 or so and we hear a tom in a tree so we set up and call he answers so its going awsome but then all of the suden it gets quiet i didnt over call but why didnt he come to my decoys or even get close?
To the best of my understanding he got smart.
He got qiuet because he knew something wasn't just right.
When a tom gets quiet just
keep watching he will most likely still be there
just he is more cautous and looking for where the sounds are from.
Another thing I have learned when he gets quiet you get quiet to.
And just keep looking for his head to pop up.
Try setting the decoys up in a different way
from how they were the last time.
