Default RE: 2003 Hoyt Supertec Questions

Bloodtrail,

My first thought after reading your post was "Were both bows set to the same draw weight?"

In my limited experience with both cams so far I would say that the major difference isn't necessarily the draw cycle itself. It is somewhat different mind you but I think the major difference between the two is the valley. The Spiral cam has literally no valley even at 65% letoff. With the draw stop peg removed it is somewhat closer to the Cam and a half but not much.

My biggest concern is what you mentioned in your last few sentences...string slap on heavy hunting clothes. I must admit that I am tempted to order a Supertec at a 30 inch draw length and then remove the draw stop peg...but I would be too concerned that the string would slap some of my heavier winter garments.

As for prices......I think a figure of $670 is not too far off for most shops.
