having never travelled for hunting, i'm not sure what my priorities are, but to answer a few questions you raised, I don't need a trophy, but certainly don't want to cow hunt. A respectable bull is desired.

no preference on the state, more interested in finding a quality outfitter who is professional, access to private land with decent bull hunting opportunities. Like most, I don't want to pay more than i need to but was hoping I could do an "all in trip" for $5000.
