RE: thunb hole stocks
I got an Omega with one last year. Didn't like the way you had to reach around the stock to cock the hammer. Could be a bad deal in a situation where you had to shoot fast. I also tried a thumhole stock on my .300 Win Mag awhile back. As comfortable as it felt in the shop, at the range I only lasted two shots. The recoil gave me a bruise about the size of a dime on the back knuckle of my thumb. On the positive side, I have a HS Precision T/S stock on my .22-250 Ackley. Most comfortable stock I have ever owned.
