Default RE: Deer Track Question

Well, I didn't see him, but did find some more of his tracks (has a crooked tip on the left toe) and another scrape. My brother was on another part of the property just looking around earlier and found lots of sign. He believes he has seen this deer, and if it's the same one he described it as very large, with a big rack to match. I did some more accurate measuring today--the hoof length is a hair over 3 3/8", width is 2 5/8". This does not include dew claws--tracks were in hard ground, and didn't see the dew claws. Measured from 2 or 3 differnent spots, believe I got an accurate measurement. Did hear one blow, but that is all--dang wind was way up, and nothing was stirring. Maybe next time.....
