I just called Wal-Mart customer relations and the guy on the other end told me that on March 6th they started to remove firearms from a total of 1000 stores accross the counrty.

You should have asked which ones as the drive maybe worth it. Hello Walmart shoppers now in the sporting goods department...
How many stores are there anyways? May put a different spin on it. And where these stores are may as well.

I buy most of my guns at gun shows and small, local shops. But, I’ve got family that hunt and fish and can’t really afford to shop other places based on their like or dislike of Wal-Mart policy’s. I do buy some of my hunting equipment there after the season when stuff is marked down. I picked up a 15-ft two person tree-stand at Wally-World this past December for $65, a whisker-biscuit for $15, a $200 Nikon scope for $90 and there ammo is the cheapest in town. If they stopped selling equipment for hunting, fishing, camping, boating and such that would really suck for folks that don’t make much money and can’t really afford to go any place else.

Yep, would be a shame. All the firearms companies are fighting off legal issues and I'm sure this has something to do with it, which means the root of this problem is not a walmart issue. There just reacting. The problem is much bigger and it would take a miracle to reverse the damage that freedom has suffered, people can't even turn off their TV’s, one of freedoms biggest opponents. A poison that is killing this country slowly but surely. The poor always pay the price, and even though they are also the ones with the least to loose, what they do have means so much to them.
