There are a lot of reasons one guy may prefer, or in this case, NOT prefer a product. They range from genuine concerns and knowledge to just plaine stupidity. You should have ask him, "How so inconsistant". If they fall outside the guidelines of the product he should send them back. It they're inconsistant because he has extremely tough standards, well.... you can't fault him for that. AND NO, Gold Tips are not the best arrow out there by a long stretch. There are definitely better. SO, he may be a precision freek and demand perfection. That's too bad. He'd be better served to have a pitch of, "I prefer closer tolerances and find there are better values with better quality" or something like that. I remember my first trip to Lens. I was intent on buying a certain climber. He told me sure he had it. How often do you use it. How long to you stay on stand.....etc etc etc. He said he'd sell it to me but thought I would be better served to consider X vs Y. He gave me valid reasons and showed me physically what he was talking about(some quality control) The trade off was more money. SO, which do you want... this or that. How much do you want to spend. I ordered a new bow instead. I since havebought his second hand stand of the model he prefered for valid reasons. It just took me 3 years to do it.[8D] But I enjoyed the new bow.[8D]
