RE: when to switch to adult food?
Doc E is probaly right, however I went with what the kennel preferred as I felt that they had them for years and had a better idea on this than I did.
Mine the fat content was higher than I could get from the puppy food so I kept them on a good quality dog food all the time. Although I would mix a can of puppy food in once and a while. I went with eagle pack and when the local vet checked it out he said that the food did good for either the puppy or the adult dogs so I went with it. We have to travel a long ways to get it and it is quite pricey here but it seems to agree with them.
