Default Hometown Proshop blows

I went home this weekend to my parent's house and went to the proshop up there. This is the shop where I purchased my first bow, the Hoyt Ultrasport. I really don't like going there anymore b/c they are pricks[:'(].

The reason I went in there today was to buy a bow sling for my incoming Trykon. The shop I am buying the Trykon from only had the ones w/ the leather piece and I prefer the simple braided rope w/ no leather piece.

All that is beside the point. I asked one of the two owners ( they are brothers) if they carried gold tips. He said, "No, they are too inconsistent." I said, "Aren't they supposed to be one of the best arrows you can buy?" He said, "No, not by far."

I wonder why he is so against Gold Tips? I have read many good reviews on here by some of you guys. My new proshop's bow guy said that he uses Gold Tip and he highly recommends them. I was thinking about buying a dozen.
