I bought a Magellan Sportrack Map unit 3 years ago and I love using it. No problems whatsoever in terms of locking on satellites or just general ease of use. I would recommend it. The only problem is that I do not see it advertised anymore so I am assuming it is discontinued. I did see that Magellan now has a Explorist Series that looks pretty impressive. If they are as good or better than my Sportrack Map then I would not hesitate to use them.
