It hasn't rained here in almost two months, so even if I did take it outside, WHICH I DIDN'T, there was no way it could have rusted.
I don't have a dog in this fight, but i can tell you that just "handleing" the parts can make them rust. (natural oil and salt on your fingers) Also it doesn't have to rain for there to be humity in your house...
