I have used for several years now a 10' section of chain link fence.

I rig some weights up and use it to smooth the soil out after we disc. Then I remove the weights and go over the fields after we spread the seed out.

I have used this for several years and most of my friends are amazed at how well the thing works. I have had no problems AT ALL with having seed germinate.
