I try to keep my shots under 30 yds. wih the hand gun. What got me to thinking of the 357 in a rifle is the 16 in. barrld win. carbine. it would be a light plinker for my doughter and my wife. i keep a good suply of 38 and 357 to feed my hg. it would all so be a good truck gun\home defince. with the posibilty to be a deer gun on acasion. i had a 357 mrilan about 15 years ago. but one of my buddys offerd me enought i knew he wanted it way more than i did. i never got around to replcing it. "used a 30-30 insted" now i think i want a pistol cal. carbine agan. the choices are 45 colt,44,and 357. 45ammo is hard to find here and expincie. the 44 i think will be to much in some aeras of use.
