I really wonder if the market is saturated with 300 magnums in the US.

Just to kick around... what do they have to offer compared to the 7's... especially in light of modern .284 bullets and their ballistic coeffecients? For those of you that use both, I wondering what takes you to the decision to use one over the other? Or, as the English said, "Did God give Americans the .30 caliber?"
One thing I learned, the 7mm's sure do kick alot less with a bullet of equal sectional density.

My STW kicks less with with a 160gr bullet than a 300win mag with a 180gr I think.
That is one thing I have noticed as well. 7mms seem to have more of a "push" type of recoil, while .30s have more of a quick "jab" of a recoil. Another thing I have noticed between the two is 7mms have more muzzle flip than 30s but I have never lost sight picture while shooting anything with my 7mm, I've seen every impact. The 30s I've all shot I have never seen an actual impact, but they do make a louder "thump."
