well if you hunt muleys, it could be 40 yards out to 400 yards. you can find them in the trees or in the flats. do you what part of the area you are going to? are you going north of I-90 or to the south?
as for deer pop, you see 100+deer in your hunt. average rack size mostly 2 year old 17"-19" spread muleys. and basket rack whitetails. hard to find the 3-4 year old bucks here. most people hunt for food not rack size around here.
