It would and it does, but the scope moves with it. I have it in my lap right now and tried kinda what you are suggesting, but again the scopes moves up also...

I am toying with the ideal of cutting a section of the comb off and placing a filler underneath then add the top of the comb back on - or installing an adjustable comb like you would have or might have on a trap shotgun.

I am just looking for thoughts...

I checked Brownells and they have a couple add ons that have some interest in.

I guess another question might be does anyone else have a problem with the Omega comb?
