I believe there are only two states that do not require this. Myself living in Minnesota I know you do not need one and I am not sure of the other state that does not require this. Thats whats cool about living here. That sucks for the other states. I know I have to take a hunters education coarse for next year when I hunt in North Dakota for geese and duck, but I heard it was very simple.
