it was difeniately taken at camp in pottersdale,pa in aug of 2005.no hoax here .owners went to newspaper with picture.they are well known and respected people.that i can assure all of us. the one i saw in this area had a tail about 2 ft long and weighted, i would say about 45 pds,13 years ago.this is clearfield/clinton county in wmu 2g.

IMO it is clearly just a summer coat Bobcat. The tail alone is a dead giveaway......a Mt. Lion tail is of a similar diameter as it's forelegs. This animal has a thin summer coat bobcat length tail.
Even if the thing was stapled to the left side of it's body you would still clearly see the diameter at the base.
Bobcats are very common in this area and even though I hoped to see a Mt. Lion in that picture (since I hunt up there) I immediately saw it as nothing more than a Bobcat.
