Yup I had thought about making that butt section movable. But I measured the Model 7 Remington I have then a couple of other Remington model 700's and the distance didn't seem like it would matter.

RRH that one looks good. I plan on some thing like that when my scrap iron pile thaws out. But this wood one seems to work ok with the mild loads I am useing.
