I think an important thing to remember here is that we are not talking about a premium bonded bullet here. I use a 243 with hornady interlock 100 grainers for whitetail but I keep the velocityunder fps. That is about the cieling speed for a non bonded bullet according to my experiences. Now, My mistake this last year was using nosler ballistic tips (not bonded) past 2800 fps in 165 grains with my 30-06. The bullet completly came apart. They were about 2950 fps. Too fast for that bullet. I am going bonded only with my 06 from now on. EJ
