mac's are the best for movie editing....IT's funny you're asking this as I'm a telecommunications major at Ball State with an emphasis in production. We run all our editing suites on macs. You can use a normal production program to do this if you want. Go to your local best buy and look around....that's the best way. I'm about to buy Final Cut 5 which is a 4,000 editing suite. So I wouldn't recommend doing that unless you plan on doing it for a job. My plan is to produce hunting videos....mark and terry drury offered me an internship as soon as I get out of school, which is good for me. I know them both personally and they are great guys. I was a journalism/advertising major at college and we used Macs for doing all that kind of stuff. I personally hate Macs, but they were by far better for doing that kind of stuff.
