Default RE: Old School or New School

I guess I have to put my 2 cents in here too. I have to admit I like new technology. I believe alot of it may just be pure gadgetry, some maybe useful. Other than that, I have to say I am old school. I don't hunt for Pope and Young or Boone. I hunt for the pure joy and relaxation of hunting. I hunt for meat to put on my family's table to keep from having to eat so much of the cholestrol laden crap at the stores. Can I get an Amen? After all, the ancestors of this "way of life" did not hunt for "SPORT", they hunted for food. I am just as proud as the next guy when I take a deer. I don't however think it's necessary to kill bucks only. I guess I fall somewhere in between when it comes to "old school" vs. "new school". Let's hunt and have fun no matter how we do it as long as it's legal. Let's be safe and respect other hunters and the woods we hunt in. After all, you only live once. Oh, and by the way, I HATE leases. I grew up in a place and time where I could roam the woods not worrying about intruding on the other guy because I respected his hunting territory. I could hunt when and pretty much where I wanted because there was less greed back then. Now the states and the big timber companies have ruined that for our children unless they grow up to be very financially successful. I hate that. I wish my kids could still have the simplicity and excitement of hunting the land without having to pay for it. It's a sad mixed up world, this world of "Hunting". LT
