RE: Recoil quistion
Recoil has several factors. Bullet weight, velocity, powder charge and the weight of the firearm. Then you have to factor in stock design and tolerance levels of the shooter. Changing brands of ammo should make little difference in felt recoil as long as the same bullet weight is used. Personally I have a hard time telling rifles apart strictly from recoil anymore. I just know that my 300 WM has more muzzle blast than my 7mm-08 Rem, but I hardly feel either. 90% of overcoming recoil is mental. If you think it is going to hurt you then it wil, no matter what the actual ft/lbs come out to. Mind over matter. I don't mind so recoil doesn't matter.
