My venison roast.
You all may know this recipe, but I made a small change to it, and it turned out great, so I thought I would share. Lets put it this way, 3 people (myself included) said it was the best vinison they ever ate, no gaminess at all.
You will need:
Crock pot
1 big can of cream of mushroom soup
1 packet of lipton onion soup mix
milk (this is the item I never hear people mention)
water
potatoes/carrots/onions/celery, etc.
I dumped the cream of mushroom in the crockpot, filled half the can with milk and stirred it in. Filled half the big can with water and stirred that in too. Put the vinison in, made sure it was completely covered with the soup mix, also stirred in the onion soup mix. Add potatoes/onions/ etc as you want.
I let it sit on low for 22 hours (had pulled the meat out to defrost, got side tracked, ended up making it Monday at 8pm, ate it on Tuesday around 6pm).
You could cut it with a fork and there was no gaminess. My friend Matt cooks it with just water, no milk, and I think mine ended up tasting a lot better.
Anyway, just wanted to share, am going to make some more this weekend. <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
