RE: "Air Rest" Levitating arrow rest
Great posts gutshot and turtleshell. I love this forum and have a great time here, until stuff like this gets going. Ohio Ross just came on and gave HIS opinion of the rest because he has used it and likes it. Maybe some guys think it looks like a gimmick. Gee, I remember when others were saying stuff like this about the Zero Effect.... The samerest that many, many hunters, including myself, have been using for years now and still love it. I will be honest, when I saw the Air rest a few weeks ago for the first time in my new issue of Peterson's Bowhunting, I was skeptical too. I showed it to a buddy and we both questioned it and had some concerns about it. But I sure as heck am not gonna start ripping someone who has used it and beleives in it just because I have my questions about it. And that is just what happened here. Ohio Ross uses it and loves it and gave an answer to someones opinion who HASN"T used and and ripped it, then it all goes downhill from there. Hey, if a guy is a factory rep or a pro staff shooter for a company, then obviously they believe in the product and have a right to defend it just like someone has a right to question it. But I must say, in my opinion, the person who at least has actually used the product has more of a right to give an honest assesment than someone who just saw it and formed their negative opinion. I am not trying to throw gas on the fire, and I will not get into an ongoing fued with anyone on here ( actually this ishonestly the first time I have ever really directed an opinion to someone like this on here), but I really feel that a few of you that are blaming Ohio Ross for the negative direction that this thread hasturned really need to examine your input in this casealso, and see where some of the blame lies. I just don't see the positive in tearing down someone who beleives in a product that was derived from their personal usage of the product. And I wholeheartily agree that the number of posts a person has made doesn't make their opinion any more or less valuable than anyone else's. I have gained alot of knowledge, insight, help and entertainment from alot of great people on here and hope that I in turn return the favor. Truthfully, we are all on here for the same reason, our love of archery and bowhunting. It is a shame that sometimes this garbage has to happen. Hang in there Ohio Ross, and stick around. There are alot of great people on here. And thanks to everyonefor your opinions. Some just come across a little stronger or more negative than needed. Take care everyone.
