If its a savage, it will work. I have a Savage feather max on my legacy and I sighted it in at 20 from the ground...then shot from 30 to see what would happen and it hit about a inch low. Make sure the pin pivots freely though. I did miss the first one this season cause my pin stuck. Theres a small set screw on the side of the pendulum that allows you to loosen the movement. I did that and it worked fine.
