Having experince with both i would say go with the savage if thats what you like. they have a great trigger and the price is right. If you like the ruger buy it, it has a great mount system and most gunsmiths can eaisly tune the trigger. Both guns will shoot about the same so its all a matter of balance, fit and personal preference but i happento think the savage is a slightly better gun.
