RE: Arkansas Hunter needs some help
Hummm stone cold hard order in that area. i lease 2000 in ouachita and it took me years to get one big block leased. the best scenerio would be a hunting club going down and you snatch it. but more than likely someones all ready got that covered.
But you could call NEELEY forestry in camden ark, they lease alot.
deltic timber on peach st in el dorado , talk to greg humphreys.
IP is now in georgia i would have to look up that address.
I would find an area you want and then buy a platt book at the court house for $ 35.00 i think. and look at who owns the tracts your interested in. the county assesors office will give you a good owners name and address if you contact them. then either contact the owners by mail or phone( you'll have to search that one out , they won't give a phone #)
it's tough i'm telling you from experience. i do all the talking with my lessors my hunters DO NOT talk to them. i will boot one in a half a second if i find out they contact them. i have developed a relationship with them and a trust. thats why i lease several hundred acres for $2 @ acre. they know they could get more but i watch there land like it was mine. and i am not a fly night lessee.they know every year i am there.
how many hunters do you have? your talking about a chunk of money for 4000 acres. at $3 avg an acre thats like $12,000 @ year .
man if i can help you anymore let me know.
