All this Leupold bashing and the pricing complaints are a little tiresome... Easy guys/girls , easy. Leupold is a great company, more expensive sure, but quality is what you pay for. Guess people didn't see the new rules for the knocking on opnions..... From BSA to Nikon, you have many choices obviously, but I would try to fork a little more money in the scope than be sorry later that you hadn't. It could be a Leupold, it could be a Nikon, or it could be a good old bushnell, providing it can handle the shock of the selected chambered rifle.Just my honest opinion.
No bashing here... Let's just lay out the facts... Leupold charges $200+ for a scope with "friction" wind adjustment, a three-piece tubeand lenses which are not fully multicoated (VX-1 and Rifleman). Look at the Simmons AETEC line for the same price you get fully multicoated lenses and 1/4 click adjustments... Or the Bushnell Elite 3200 you get all of that and a one-piece tube. I would also check out the Sightron SII. Don't get me wrong I like my Leupold VX-II, but I got a steal on it ($100), I wouldn't but the more inexpensive ones for the reasons listed. Again I am not trying to state "opinion" these are just the features/facts.
